Gary Nutwell (Founder/Owner)
Gary has over 20 years of experience working in the Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) business with a background in construction and IT. He worked for a family-owned commercial plumbing company for several years and later worked at Goddard Space Flight Center after earning a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Regional Planning from Salisbury University. During his 15-year career at Goddard, he tested and engineered satellite software. Bringing this mix of skills to the GPR trade has been the perfect fit. His hobbies and passions include golfing, fishing, visiting the beach, playing pickleball, and spending time with family and friends. Gary lives in Annapolis, MD, with his wife and two children.
Tim Wienand (Senior Technician)
After earning a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Rockford University and a brief career in banking, Tim joined Metro Concrete Scanning in 2016. It’s been both challenging and rewarding for him acquiring the skills necessary to proficiently analyze a wide variety of slab conditions. Tim was once told that he is more accurate than the x-rays! Tim takes pride in his level of customer service as he is a huge people person. In his spare time, he runs a YouTube channel called The Tims Sports Talk, where he discusses and commentates on the Washington Commanders. His other hobbies include playing pickleball and chess. Tim lives in Annapolis, MD, with his wife, Celena, and their dog, Ruby.
Jake Anderson (Technician & Social Media Manager)
Jake joined Metro Concrete Scanning in 2020, and has enjoyed learning all about the GPR industry. Jake grew up next door to Tim, who introduced him to the trade. The dynamic work environment has facilitated him in developing and utilizing a wide variety of skills, and his prior career in the restaurant business honed his knowledge of excellent customer service. Some of his hobbies are fishing, crabbing, playing fantasy football and visiting family and friends. Jake lives in Baltimore, MD with his dog, Nazzie.
